There is no denying we have access to more information than ever before and the rate at which that information is growing quickens everyday. It is essential for educators and learners to be equipped with the curation skills necessary to navigate the information space. In this session, educational technology expert, Steven W. Anderson will examine exactly what curation is and the role it plays in both the learning for educators and the learning for students. We will look at how curation takes place and how it can be done more effectively, including a frank discussion about information literacy.

Outcomes:
Educators will examine the 3-step curation process and how that impacts learning.
Educators will understand the importance of digital literacy as it pertains to digital resources and the necessary skills to employ when examining digital resources.
Educators will build a toolkit of several different types of curation tools and how they can be integrated into the curation process.
